    Field Architects has completed Gulzar’s Residence, a home that thoughtfully integrates the vernacular practices of northern India’s remote and mountainous region of Ladakh. Shaped by the region’s harsh climate, culture, and traditions, the project draws on centuries of evolution in local architecture. The studio’s design for the residence embraces local materials and techniques while focusing on human habitation in harmony with the environment.     Gulzar’s Residence is located in Chuchot, a small village discovered along the banks of the Indus River in the Ladakh region.     At the core of Gulzar’s Residence, the team at Field Architects reinterpreted traditional Ladakhi architecture with a minimalist and contemporary design language. The house centers around a spacious living area and includes two master bedrooms, a study, and a combined kitchen and dining space. Field Architects deconstructed the region’s vernacular elements and refined them into modern forms, creating a space that feels timeless while rooted in Ladakhi tradition. The structure is primarily built with locally sourced materials, including adobe and timber, ensuring that the house complements its natural surroundings.

    The design features an expansive, south-facing, double-height living room with timber-framed glazing.     So there are lots of ways you can go about setting up a stock tank pool. You can be as simple or complex as you want. Some people simply fill their tank with water and just drain and refill it as necessary. Others create a more traditional “pool” by adding pool pumps, filters, and chlorine. These tutorials walk you through all different viewpoints. Worried about problems with your pool? Here are a couple of the most common concerns, and how you can deal with them.

    Where To Buy Stock Tanks to Create Your Pool

    You have a few options depending on what size stock tank pool you want and where you are located. If you happen to have a farm supply store near you, that might be your best bet. Up until recently, you used to be able to get some great deals on a couple versions from Amazon. But unfortunately, they’re not available on Amazon right now.

    Your best bet now is to buy from Tractor Supply Co. They have locations all over the country. You can order online and do curbside pickup at the nearest store. If you want to do an in-ground plastic stock tank pool, TSC also carries those as well. But we have to say, we love the look of the above-ground galvanized metal.

    We also found a website – TankAndBarrel.com – and they seem to have quite a few choices of steel round tanks, and they do ship, but it looks like the freight costs are pretty spendy! They’re located in Nebraska – so if you happen to be near them, I’m pretty sure you could pick up.

    Again, many other farm supply stores may carry them as well.

    When it comes to taking care of our homes, spring is the time of year that many of us actually look forward to cleaning our home and then freshening the decor to greet the warmer months of the year.

    This spring, I started the seasonal ritual in my bedroom. After a thorough room cleaning, when I placed my previous spring/summer bedding that was going on 6 years on the bed, it looked worn and faded. After years of use and many washings, it was time to go in search of new blue and white bedding.
